All Comments on 'New Lit Story Page BETA - Font Customization Now Available!'

I'd still like to have a "View All" option for comments. Right now we have to click on "Show More" every five comments.
I DO like that the entire comments show now, without having to click "Read more," or whatever the button was.
While I liked the oldest first on the old "View All," if/when the option is available, the option to display them oldest or newest first would be nice.
i would like a option that allows a reader to read a whole chapter on one page as opposed to over 10 or 15 pages...
a READ ALL option.

We are working on a dedicated Comment page for each story. It will probably be rolled out at the same time as comment threading, which is not quite ready yet.
We are also working on allowing in comments, which will ping you in your activity feed when you are mentioned in a comment. That doesn't work yet, so not sure if you'll see this reply or not. 😃

Cool. Font feature and changing vote function both worked well. Bit of a time lag between being able to change the vote but not a big issue.
, maybe I'm confused. It seems to me that there IS a Comment page for each story, but only the five most recent comments are shown until you click "Show More," then the next five comments display.
I would like to go back to the old system wherein comments appeared immediately so that commentators could respond to other commentators in real time. That produced hilarious actions and reactions. Since Lit does such a poor job of regulating stories as it is, delaying the appearance of comments on a particular story makes no sense.
Right now, when you go an author's submission page, all of the stories listen there are in alphabetical order, based on theirs titles.
I really - REALLY - would like an option where you could switch the listing from alphabetical order to the date the stories were posted.
It would make some searches through some authors' resume way easier, that's for sure.
The reason we had to start moderating comments is because of spam. In the future, trusted Lit users will be able to post comments without any moderation, but for anonymous and new user comments there is no other way to prevent spam than to pre-moderate it.
I like using the rosa-blanca.ru portal. There used to be a link at the foot of the page but it seems to have been deleted. Please bring it back , somewhere. Possibly best on site contents page?

Also, would like a way when browsing the all stories list a way to sort it by date in lieu of alphabetically. If I have a few days that I can’t get on the stories roll off and I don’t know what stories have been missed.

I like the new format as a reader. I have a problem with the Webcam header.
I started to read at my desk at lunch and suddenly I have nude women gracing my screen. Bad move in an office environment. There appears to be a timed delay before the webcam display can be turned off.
I understand advertising and revenue streams, but I won't be buying if I get fired.
When the webcams were at the bottom of the page I knew when to stop scrolling if I was in public.
The old format text advertising in the header could be scrolled off the screen without attracting attention. Pictures are not discrete.
I like the ability to change size and type. Don't need to switch to reader view
I like the new format. My only suggestion is the ability to mark a story as "read". Unless I'm missing something, the only way for me to know if I have read a story is to remember (not so easy at my age and the number of stories I read) or check to see if I voted.

I have been enjoying the new format since you introduced it. A big improvement over the old format. The ability to see the story info (description) and rosa-blanca.ru at the top is great!
I like the new ability to change the font. However, it is not saved in my Literotica profile, as it says it will be.
I also agree with darkvision29's comment: I've wanted a way to mark a story as "read" for a long time.
Like the new format but also agree with the sort by dates comments. I also like the implementation of allowing trusted comments to appear immediately. When the ability to comment in real time went away, so did my motivation to comment. This also had a direct effect on my desire to click on stories that I wouldn't otherwise read.
We keep going on about how it’s could be better or keep going on about it’s not worth messing with it . But the bigger question is would it automatically put writers stories in the correct category. Instead of writers just putting any old thing in the loving wife category. Aka would it stop writers putting voyeur stories or lesbian stories or anal stories or group stories or interracial stories into the loving wife category. If not what is the point of messing with this page . It’s like today only 2 stories where fit for the loving wife category everything else was all in the wrong category. So it’s gets to the point where you start searching for a type of story you pick the category of what you want and you only find half of the stories you are after. Because writers have put there stories in the wrong category. That is what needs to be sorted out first so everyone can find what they are looking for. And not trailing around other category’s looking for the stuff that you are into.

Many of us wish to remain anonymous. How about a form page where story writers can post stories for review directly to the site - like the comment box I'm writing in now, but larger and with more editing options?
The most efficient and effective committees, organizations and businesses with which I have been involved over the years always solicited input and listened but never let that input interfere with what those in charge knew were the wisest courses of action.
Or give that option to the writer. You can bet most will go with only allowing those with IDs to vote. Thanks for working on the "kinks" in the system, if not in the readership!
This site seriously needs a dark theme. It'll not only make text easier to read, on mobile devices, it'll reduce battery usage.
I like any kind of technical improvement on this site! I visit LIT for many years now but for beeing able to make textmarks for continued reading I mostly copy and paste the stories to a simple textfile. Also it gave me the opportunity to enlarge the textsize with automtic text wrap which was so much more convenient than the old static online output.
I now discovered there is (now?) some kind of responsive design when visited via mobile phone with text wrap on zoomed text. But I would like to suggest to set the screen width to the site element with the solid white background color instead to the text body so there is some margin left and no letter touches the edge of the screen.
Yes a "night mode" with an inverted color scheme would also be appreciated by me!

Font customization doesn't work with my profile. The option is turned on, I've turned it off and back on but it still doesn't work. It works within the pages of a story, but needs to be reset with each new story. Other than that I like the changes. Thanks
Basically I like the new format. But I was disappointed when you switched from time it took to read a story or chapter, to displaying the word count. Now I still have to scroll down to the end of a story (sometimes through twenty or more pages) to decide if I can spare the time to read it. When you showed twenty minutes vs. five and half hours for one story or another, I could decide if I even wanted to start reading a story before I began. I still read longer stories, but I take breaks between sittings, since I rarely have five or six hours of free time to read anything in one go. Maybe you could show both word counts and estimated time for reading a submission to let us know how long a story will take to finish in addition to showing the word count.
It would be really good to be able to select the next chapter of a story from the "Also in this series" pane. At the moment it ALWAYS shows you from the beginning and for any story that goes beyond 6 chapters it becomes increasingly tedious to get to. With more than 16 chapters (so there are more than 3 pages of "Also in this series" chapters), it only lets you pick from the first 3 pages, so you have to select the page '3' and then select the next page (4 or 5) before you can select the next chapter. When you have more than 21 you've to select page 3 then 5, then the next, etc.
I think you should give the first in the series (for those starting part way through because a particular chapter had high ratings), the previous chapter and the next chapter at least. If you want to keep 5 in the pane you could have first 3, previous and next OR first two, previous and next 2, or some variation on this, but PLEASE let us at least select the next chapter.
I like the new format and the way the info is arranged. I noticed that time to read was swapped out for word count. Time to read was nice but so is word count. Would it be possible to include both?

to make it more readable.
That's where the font type and size needs help. The date and author line font is almost too small to read. You wast 67% of the page by only using the left 33% to provide info.
Just tried the new & improved beta. Fantastic! I love the available font settings and I can zoom the page again on my iPad. Now, if the info panel on the right could be collapsed I wouldn’t even have to zoom... Nice work!

Especially the fact that it resizes automatically depending on the platform being used to browse the website. This is truly a wonderful upgrade. I really like the Font Customization feature, and hope it will be possible to set up the customization as a personal attribute. It is a little frustrating to have to do it every time.
However, you have done an amazing job with the new interface. Hopefully, you can work it into the other pages on the site. Huge and worthwhile improvement.
I can't get it to save my font preferences - I like default size and spacing, but would prefer Verdana ... how do I get it to save that option?
I have found the new reader to be too rough around the edges. I have used it since you first released it and like many of the features.
The reasons for reverting to the old reader are:
1. Webcam images appear anytime I open a new chapter and cannot be turned off for a long time. They stay off for all the pages of the chapter, but come back with any new chapter. It means there are many opportunities for reading Literotica stories that I miss because I do not dare to open the reader. The old format of the webcams at the bottom was not a problem.
2. The font change is not stickey.
3. I cannot rate a story as soon as I finish it. Touching the stars does not work immediately. If I read through comments, then come back and click on the stars it works. This discourages the readers from rating the stories. I like the comments section changes.
You are making great progress on improving the reader. I will try it again when it gets updated. Whoever is designing the reader is doing a good job, it just needs some tweaks to smooth the rough edges.

I like the new page. I thought I was the only one who couldn't save my font preference. Bolder is better for my old eyes.
When you click the gear icon for advanced search, nothing happens.
Please allow readers different sort options for a particular author's stories. Right now, the only option is alphabetical. Date sort, category sort, would make it so much more useful. I cannot believe that you guys still don't have that option. Please. Allow sorting.
I am unable to access the second page of My Works which is from P on. Also, the like to my Member Control Panel is not on the opening Literotica face page. I have to weave my way through the BETA test like to get to my works. Would appreciate comments on this and the feedback provided by others.
I'm quite pleased with the changes. Having the tàgs at the top is a great idea - they help me decide if I want to read the story. You know what would be good ... I would like to see the story's score, and if I have voted on the story. I don't always remember if I've read a story, so seeing my own score will tell me that.
Ditto. Font customization is only retained for the current story. Changing stories, eg next story in the series, goes back to defaults.
It'd be cool to have a way to mark stories as read. A Tag blacklist that would block stories with rosa-blanca.ru you don't like form popping up on results pages would be neat too.

When you unhide the font selection by clicking on the icon you can't hide it again.
You show how many words in a story at the top of the page, it would also be good to show how many pages a story has at the top of the page so that when you start reading a story you know how long that story is.
Similar to thedayafter. Story rosa-blanca.ru should be on the top of the front page so you know what you're getting into. I find myself having to scroll to the bottom of the last page often.

Overall, I like the new format. However, if a story is a long read, and you put your tablet aside - or if the read is interrupted for any length of time, the font and size selection returns to the biased format. There is no means of resetting without returning to page one, not an onerous task but sometimes tedious. Would be nice to have a link that follows on each page allowing costumization option to be available anywhere in the story, or at least at the top of the story page.
The new format does not seem to allow for more than one computer to be open at a time. I read with my tablet, as I can carry it around with me, but write on my PC for the keyboard. Typing long messages on a virtual keyboard is tedious and time consuming as I can only type maybe fifteen words a minute vice 70+ on a keyboard. I have to shut off the new format on my tablet and open it on my PC to post a story. Then shut off on the PC and open the tablet for reading. Can that be changed to allow for more than one computer open at a time?
HARD TO FIND LIST OF STORIES AND AUTHORS AND TO NARROW DOWN WHAT TYPE YOUR SEEKING. BUT ALL IN ALL I ENJOY THE SITE EVEN AS IT IS.
The site's search engine is just terrible and needs fixing urgently. The other big problem I encountered was joining. I sent over a dozen requests before I finally got the needed reply from you.
Fix those first. Dont worry the fonts.
I really like the new reading panel and what you can do with it. I too would like to see a night mode(dark mode like Facebook has in their beta version) I would like to see the contributors stories panels arranged by date rather than alphabetically or at least an option to sort by any of the fields shown.
I have no problem with the proposed changes. I have no problem with things as they are.
I DO have a problem with story categories like 'Audio' that give no clue as to what type of story it is. I don't have the time to investigate those stories and therefore I ignore them.
I don't want to make demands or suggestions - I'm happy with Literotica just as it is.
Javascript is a major part of web malware as well as profiling mechanisms. In some parts of the world, what you read on literotica, or even that you visit this site may negatively affect your life or perspectives. I use NoScript (considering ublock) to stay protected. When Literotica is no longer usable without javascript (search is already severely degraded and limited to English!) I'll be gone.
I don't mind this... It's kind of BIG but my eyes ain't getting any better either so I'll stick with it for now! However, I am happy to have the option of setting it back the way it was... (some resist change more than others)
Oh and while I have you, it would be cool if we were able to 'like' or 'dislike' feed back comments on stories with the ability to respond like they do on 'other-popular-web pages'... I'm sure it would open a whole new kettle of fish for you logistically -but it was just a thought...

1) Please give us the ability to filter out audio stories, as they are just not useful when they often do not contain the same text.
2) PLEASE make the new stories page order by last approval date, so that I don't have to scroll through a bunch of stores that I have seen to find the ones I haven't. Or alternately, only show stories that are new from the previous day and beyond so that the order is at least stable.
Is there a way to save the new font size and type for all stories once you log in, or is it a per story setting?
I've tried out the new beta. So far, it's pretty good.

Nice addition, but I still miss "View all comments" and comment titles. If it's easier than a title line, give us a bold option so that we can make our own.
You add features that I haven't seen requested, yet haven't added ones that have been asked for repeatedly.
Has the saving of font size etc into preferences been fixed yet. It is rediculous having to select it for every new page again and again. It even states thst it is saved on tge page, so assume it's broken. Fix that before using it for default viewing.
You should have a contest about the cotra virus that is going on and see what letters people can make about the virus well its just an idea though
Some IDs seem to spew their garbage on every story. I'd like to build an ignore list, something similar to the forum. Those people, and maybe even their IP address, would not be able to vote or leave comments.
I really like this new format. However ... One thing I've noticed lately. Seems like when it first came out there was a sort of preview in the sidebar area, with the font customization, the rosa-blanca.ru etc, that showed which story in a multi part story the one you were reading was. It isn't there anymore.
I loved that I could tell right off the bat if this was part of a series of stories and if so how many there were. Can't see it now.
My eyes are not doing so well. It would be useful to be able to set up a personal font size for my user name rather than set it up for every new story read. Otherwise lock-in' good.

I use uMatrix (free Open Source tool) to control the bitter pills website's try to feed me. Because of that I see that you use now apis.google.com which was not the case on the old side. Would you mind replacing that with local javascript (served from your website) instead?

There is a little problem with rosa-blanca.ru and categories:
Old Literotica: When I follow a tag on the German part of Literotica, I stay in the German section.
New Literotica: all rosa-blanca.ru lead to the main area. So when I’m looking for stories in my language I find stories in English. Although I found great stories because of this this shouldn’t be so.

I am using the mobile app of LIT, but is hasn't been updated for several years now.
Hope there will be an update that we can download.
I understand it's not available on iStore and Google Play Store, but you can have it posted on your site as a downloadable file.
I would like to see an option to add comments on the mobile app. Curently it's so old that we don't have that option. But it's a great app and hopefully there will be an update for it soon.
Font size adjustment is a great addition. But the voting stars no longer work for me.
Would be great to have chapter controls, similar to page controls, so once in a chapter we can move forwards or backwards a chapter or all the way back to the start of the story
