Click hereKristen just looked so beautiful, with her hair up, in a white flowing gown, that she took my breath away.
Though the priest was solemn as he conducted the ceremony, Kristen was wearing that teasing little smirk that always made me laugh, as we said our I dos. But I still managed to say, so everyone could hear me, "I sure do," when the priest asked me if I took this woman as my bride.
I noticed her eyes got a little misty as she nodded and said, "I do," when it was her turn.
Everyone cheered as we walked out of the church as man and wife, and as I looked around I couldn't believe that our baseball team even showed up to watch us get married.
They all high-fived me and Denny, leaned in and said, "Congrats, man, you've got a really beautiful bride."
I looked over at Kristen talking to my aunt smiled and said, "Believe me, I know."
We honeymooned in Greece, and we had the best time ever, touring the islands, exploring the ruins, enjoying the food, but mostly making slow, sweet love every night when we got back to our room.
Kristen and I were married just over a year when our beautiful baby boy Nikolas Christopher came into the world after a blessedly short hour of labor, with a full head of dark curly hair, and big, deep blue eyes. He had a real grip on him, too, the way he clung to my finger the first time I held him and stared in wonder at his adorable little face, hardly able to believe that this perfect little person was actually ours.
Of course my mother and grandmother were over the moon, from the minute they set eyes on him.
As my yaya held her little great-grandson, named for my father, smiling at both of us, she kissed his little head. Then she pointed at us and said, "You see, I was right, and these two do make beautiful babies. And next time, you have a little girl."
Kristen blinked, looked up at me and said, "Next time? But I just gave birth."
I tipped up her chin and kissed her, and we both laughed into the kiss, because right now we had everything we needed, our beautiful little son, and the two of us... more in love than ever.
Nice story, bit formulaic, and quite long, but enjoyable. I was distracted sometimes by misspellings, wrong words, and poor grammar; not throughout, but there were whole passages several paragraphs that just were hard to decipher at times. A good story that could have been great with some careful editing.
An incredibly written story. I saw 8 pages and had doubts but it ended too soon
