As I pulled my face out from between her legs to look up at her, the feeling of sheer excitement changed in a heartbeat as the sound of a car door just outside her bedroom window shattered through me like thunder. My stomach dropped...my whole body froze.

She looked just as concerned if not more so, her cheeks going from red, which they had been for the past few minutes, to an even darker shade, as a panic stricken look swept across her face.

As we both attempted the world record for two people getting changed the fastest, I could feel my heart beating out of my chest. She scrambled to pull her panties and skirt back up with a look of horror still on her face as we heard the car boot opening and closing.

After a few more minutes I made my way downstairs hesitantly. I didn't want to go and sit with them so I'd already decided to make up an excuse to get out of there.

"I'm gonna heading out guys" I said as I walked into the living room like nothing had happened.

My cousin turned to face me as though I was a devil and I'd just intruded on her home, her eyes wide open. She was making it too obvious.

"Are you not staying for dinner?" Said my Aunt as she popped her head from out of the kitchen.

"No no, I need to get back I've got some stuff to do but maybe next time thanks anyway". I said as I began to back towards the front door.

"Okay see you soon!" My aunt shouted.

"Text me" I managed to mime to my cousin sat on the sofa looking as guilty as possible. "And calm down" I mimed and ushered with my hands.

She smiled with her mouth but her eyes were saying "okay - get the fuck out!".

She didn't look angry with me, we had both done what we'd done, nobody was to blame. But I could tell that she just wanted to be out of that situation, for now at least. The awkwardness, embarrassment and guilt it had suddenly put on her mind probably wouldn't have sustained me staying for dinner and a movie. I agreed, and as I made my way down the street to my car and my heart rate started to slow, I began to wonder what was next and how to come back from this.

A few hours later at home, sat in the safety of my bedroom with my phone in my hand waiting for a text. I was beginning to scare myself into thinking that she had cracked and told her mum the whole thing. How would I explain that to the family?

An immediate rush of relief overcame me. Anything at that point would have beaten being told that she had spilled the beans to her mum. I messaged her back and agreed to meet her.

"Why though?" She finally responded.

"What do you mean why? Why what?" I asked.

"Why can't we repeat it?" She whispered in a very awkward 'do I need to spell it out?' sort of voice.

"Because we're cousins and because it's just an all round bad idea". I said firmly but in a friendly way. I wasn't going to get suckered into the same mistake again.

She looked at me innocently and shrugged her shoulders. I thought she was going to cry for a minute.

"It's still wrong though Lucy, you know it is". I said as I stopped the car at some traffic lights.

"Pull up in that car park over there in the corner so nobody can see us and tell me it's wrong" she said.

He exhaled as though he was bored of this and said "Alright", as he walked back to his car and restarted the engine, the lights again flooding this corner of the car park like floodlights at a football game. They didn't drive away though, they sat and waited for me to realise they were waiting for us to leave. We hopped back into the front and away we went.

We cruised around for a few minutes laughing and joking. This was the most nerve racking yet exciting day I'd ever had, but I was so frustrated at the fact that once again we had been interrupted before we could go all the way. She was giggling and teasing me about how we would do it.

"Text you" She said in an adorable voice as I pulled up back on the corner I'd collected her from in view of some houses. I was a bit conscious about dropping her off at this time, a lot of the people in these houses knew her family, her mum, some of them even knew me!
