Click hereI decided I was going to take a guy friend up on his offer to go fishing on a friend's land. I had also been friends with this guy for several years, without so much as a hint of anything more than that. We were good friends and shared convo about many things. We texted a lot and we shared things about our lives that people would question if they knew. The question would be simple, how can you two chat about stuff like that and keep it normal between you. We were that close.
So we agreed to meet up about 6am at his place. And head out to the land where we would fish for about half the day. I'm 39 & divorced so no one to answer to. I had on hi-top tennis shoes, jeans & a t shirt, tucked in. So we got to the place and started fishing. Im not the best at it so he had to school me some and get me going the right way. While we fished we talked about stuff. Eventually we got separated by some distance and he sent me a text. So I answered and we started texting back and forth some, even though we were at the same pond on opposite sides.
The fish just weren't biting that morning for whatever reason. So as we text messaged our convo began to pick up our normal line of out of the box stuff. He joked about not catching fish and said well we could play truth or dare text. I laughed and said omg whatever. So he said okay truth or dare? I said truth and we started a back and forth truth question session. After a while of that, I finally said okay dare. And there was this long pause of silence.
Well eventually I hear my phone tone. I look at the message and he had sent me a picture he'd gotten from online somewhere of a girl... fishing... naked. My eyes got big and my eyebrows shot up... and I laughed. I texted back.. you are daring me to fish naked? He sent back... are you nuts? NO. I was joking. Seriously. I said oh okay.. I was about to say. Don't dare me to do that, because I hate dares. And he didn't say anything else.
Eventually we wound up back in the same spot and it was about 10am by the and starting to get hot. It was a bright sunny morning and just awesome outside. So I walked up to his truck and sat down on the tail gate. I was looking at him down by the water fishing and I had this really wild thought.. and I took my phone and looked at the picture again. And I asked myself.. Could I actually do this? If I could it would be a really neat experience for both of us. So I started contemplating and looking around and I realized we were alone and there really was virtually no chance of anyone coming out there. So, I finally said, you only live once bitch... you can do this!
So as quickly as I could.. I yanked off all my clothes.. bra... and all... And put my tennis shoes back on... and sat naked on the tailgate lacing them up. Then I hopped down and walked down the embankment to where he was. And I walked up behind him and put my arms around him from behind and hugged him and said I wanna thank you for bringing me out here... and he said oh no problem... Then he turned and looked at me over his shoulder and he jerked away and spun around and I started laughing and he said oh my God! You are naked! I laughed and held me hands out and shrugged my shoulders and said... yep! I am! You dared me!
He stood there.. looking me over and shook his head in disbelief and said wow you look amazing like that. I thanked him and tossed my hands on my hips and I suddenly felt sexier than I ever had before and I re-realized I was NAKED outside in the open! I looked around and I said this is really amazing! He chuckled and said you ain't kidding. So I shoved him playfully and I walked over by the water and picked up my fishing rod. And I knew he was staring at my backside and all.. But I was fine with it. I looked at him and I said so ya wanna come over here and help me try to catch something or what? So he slowly walked over to me as I made a cast out into the water. It felt CRAZY doing it naked.
He stood there and he kept shaking his head and he told me again how good he thought I looked. I had started reeling the line back in and I realized something I hadn't thought about. And that was the tip of the rod. As I reeled it was dancing around on the area below my belly button just above my panty line. And I noticed him watching that happen. This area of erotica could use more good writers. I enjoyed your post and hope that you write some more. You are welcome to use one of my experiences = I had a short, heavy female room renter and about 2am she came into the kitchen where I was wearing just a tank top. Notwithstanding the previous comment about a "beter" ending, I think you put a lot into a one-page story. Yes, something else at the end would have been better, but hey - it is the first submission! Read any classic short short story and the end always has some unexpected twist. Other advice is lose 10 pounds. At 5' 5" your BMI is at the high end of normal and 122 puts you into the slim, trim and hot range of normal. (It is fiction after all. No diet required.) My favorite line was "I realized my boobs were doing weird things when I cast the line out." Great opening for some devilish thoughts to appear. Finally, you include conversation as something reported rather than actual dialogue. The element of conversation gives insights to thoughts and feelings of characters which is really good, but writing actual dialogue is hard work but it reads better and is more effective in connecting the character to the mind of the reader. You have a great character here who is thoughtful and free spirited and I hope to read more about her.
