Drugged and Raped Ch. 06

Life continued on. Bev was on pins and needles waiting to see what retribution Chuck would demand. She had already signed the agreement letting him act like a single man so she couldn't even comment if he found some strange pussy to keep him satisfied. She could watch to see if he was stepping out. So, she would pick up the boys at their school every day and then go to his office and wait until Chuck left and then follow him. She told the boys that it was a game that they were playing. It helped keep them in line while waiting. Chuck made it easier as he had turned in his rental car on Monday morning and was again driving his venerable old sedan with the strange bumper stickers.

Chuck would leave the building at 5:30 and go immediately to his car. He didn't ever seem to hang around and converse with any of his co-workers. Bev was relieved that it seemed he was not setting his sights on any women in his office even though there were many good looking single women there.

He would drive straight to his apartment building and then enter without dallying about with anyone entering or exiting the building. Some twenty minutes later he would return to the entrance dressed in casual clothes and then go for a walk around the neighborhood. His route varied. Bev would try and guess which direction he would go and park ahead of him. She hoped he would see her and the boys and maybe they could engage in a conversation while he enjoyed his sons on a different day than Wednesday and every other weekend.

She was frustrated, though, because he always seemed to start one direction and then turn and go another direction. By the time she could get around the block to get ahead of him he would disappear only to reappear about an hour later. He would look worn out and sweaty from his walk. He would then enter his building and not be seen again. Bev would drive home with the boys upset about being so near their dad and not able to be with him.

Tuesday was different. Bev parked near the company parking lot after picking up the boys but couldn't see Chuck's car. She waited and waited but didn't see him come out of the building. She noticed a bald guy walking briskly down the street but didn't give any thought about it until Jeff said that the bald man looked like his daddy. Bev was surprised to see that it was true. Chuck had shaved his head and had a day's growth on his face. This was entirely new as Chuck had never expressed an interest in growing a beard and had lamented on his premature hair loss.

She followed him home and once again he entered the building without stopping for any other resident and reappeared about 20 minutes later in casual clothes and went for a walk. This time she took the boys for an ice cream and then had them go sit in the lobby of the apartment building and greet their father when he reappeared after about an hour walk.

She stayed in the car to try and keep some distance even though it wasn't the 1000 feet as required in the protection order. She was under no illusion that Chuck would have her arrested. She hoped that the sight of his boys would temper his anger for a bit. They wanted to see Chuck and she knew that Chuck wanted more time with them.

About an hour later the boys came out and got into the car and she drove them home. The boys were subdued and didn't say much at all. At home she finally got out of Jeff that Chuck was surprised to see them but happy that they had come to visit. He had frowned a little at the thought that they might have traveled to see him on their own but his fears were mollified knowing that Bev was close and had brought them to him. They had mostly just sat and talked in the lobby for the hour. After all he would see them for the entire evening the next day.

The next evening Bev took the boys directly to her parents. She felt like the estranged parent as she just sat in the driveway and did not get out of her car as the boys got out and went into her parents' house. She knew that her dad was not home yet but wasn't yet ready to face them after Sunday night. Was it really only three days since she confessed all of her sins before her parents? This was going to take a lot of time for healing.

She drove home to her girlfriend.

Chuck came and picked up the boys. Since he had not gotten his walk in they went straight to the park and walked, ran, and played for a couple of hours before going to Chuck's apartment for supper. Chuck was learning his way around his kitchen and had been watching some of the basic cooking shows on the demand part of his cable company. He put together a tasty but complete meal for them all. He didn't want to just feed his boys fast food and he was also trying to lose weight and increase his stamina.

The boys told him they liked his new bald head and spent time wrestling him so they could rub his head. They loved that it was so smooth. Chuck started to wish he had shaved his pate a lot sooner. Their evening also included Chuck helping with homework before a little game time. He had them back at their grandparents by 9:00.

The coming weekend was the weekend that Bev was scheduled to keep the boys so Chuck decided to get away. He left Friday night right after work and headed to a resort near a national forest. From there he went day hiking different trails. The quietness of the forest along with the beauty that was older than man himself helped him to meditate and decide what he should do with his life. He was feeling better physically and feeling more balanced psychologically. He was still very angry with his wife and knew he had trust issues but they could be set aside for a while.

He seriously considered bringing the boys next weekend. They would all benefit from being out in nature. Maybe they could avoid his obesity by becoming healthier earlier in life.

When he got home from the weekend he was in a better frame of mind. While not ready to forgive his errant wife he was less angry at her. He still couldn't figure out why she went to such lengths to try and compromise him. She could have filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences and come out many dollars ahead and her parents would not have know what she did. It made him shake his head in wonder.
