This story is badly formatted, poorly written, and banal in the extreme; 1st person, present tense is a very demanding idiom, requiring great skill to build the ambiance of the situation and involve the reader/onlooker. 1 page a few paragraphs long didn't even lift a corner of the curtain, let alone reveal an intriguing story, so big miss, and no stars. I don't know if you're a Brit writer or not, but if you are, I'm cringing with contact embarrassment for your haste in rushing this tawdry 'story' in to being before properly considering whether or not you actually should.

This falls into the 95% I dislike, and for the same reason: It reads like someone describing a fantasy they'd like to have happen, and unless it's written REALLY, REALLY well (which this was not), it always falls flat.
