A Game of Chess Pt. 01

Fuck it. Phillicia thought, Fuck it all. Fuck all the people. Fuck all the governments. Fuck all the things. She took a shot of whiskey, sitting at the quiet bar. Alone.

Phillicia had never been a fan of people, but today she was especially against them. Her girlfriend of three years dumped her, and kicked her out. Plus she had been fired for being late one too many times. Guess why she was late? Yeah. She was dealing with being kicked out by her (now ex)girlfriend.

And now, as per usual, she was drinking. Planning to start a fight with someone. It's how she blew off steam. She took one last shot, slamming the glass down, looking around the bar for someone dumb enough to participate in a fight, and string enough to be a challenge.

Suddenly, a woman, probably a little younger than her, appeared next to her at the bar, "Well hello. Who might you be?"

Phillicia looked the girl up and down. She was a little smaller than herself. And had less muscle. Long red hair. A few cute freckles. She was pretty hot, and wearing tight clothes to emphasize it. Probably some college chic trying to blow off steam a different way.

"Buzz off, Red. I'm looking for a challenge, not some horny girl who can barely drink legally."

"Oh, silly, I am a challenge. The names Harley, by the way. As in, Harley sane at all." She laughed at her own joke, "So, you up for a challenge?"

"Unless you know krav maga, get lost Red."

Harley frowned, "Well, I meant more of a mental challenge. I guess you're not much of an intellectual. I was gonna suggest a game of chess."

Phillicia had always been skilled at chess, and the strange proposition caught her attention, "Chess? You got a board somewhere, or something?"

"There's a board back at my place~" she winked.

"Not interested."

"Of course you aren't," Harley leaned in, "You're not interested in people at all, right? You'd rather drink, and fight, and if I had to guess, game? You know you're better than all the idiots around you, and just pretending to get along with them makes you so tired, doesn't it?"

Phillicia stared at the redhead for a moment. "Harley, was it? I'm Phillicia."

"That's more like it! The start of a beautiful duo!"

"So, what are you, a psychic or something?"

"Or somethin." She smiled, "I'm a psyche major."

"Oh great, a shrink. Do you work pro bono, or do you expect a lay after this?"

"Relax, Philly! Can't we just chat?"

"I'm not a fan of chat." Phillicia glared.

"Fine, then all you gotta do is listen. Sound good?"

"Excu-"

Harley cut her off, "After all, talking to people can be so tiring, can't it?"

"What ar-"

"Sometimes, maybe late at night, or just daydreaming, you imagine someone taking care of you. You work hard, you're smart and strong, you deserve a break. Don't you?"

Who does she think she is? Phillicia began to get angry, "Hey, you don't kn-"

"And sometimes, maybe when you're masturbating, you imagine someone taking total control of you. Right?"

How does she know all this!? "Fuck o-"

"Maybe you're tied up? Maybe you're in chastity? Maybe you're being choked? Or maybe... you're being hypnotized."

"I... Wha?"

"Yeah, that's always been the most arousing to you. Because you know intelligence is far greater than strength. But if someone took total control of your mind, you would truly be helpless. Captured. Entranced."

"Uhm..."

"You drink and brawl, because that's what you've always done. Acting dumb to deal with stress. Beating someone up, to prove your strength. But Philly, you hardly ever deal with the problem." Harley poked Phillicia's head, "All the stress is still in there."

"Stillll inn there?" She slurred.

"That's right. You've been so worked up, all this time just bottling up. You need someone to relax you. To let you clear your mind, and let go completely."

"Hhhhh..."

Harley patted her cheek, "There's a good girl. This is what I meant by chess, by the way. A little mind game you wanted to lose. Let's head home, cutie~"
