Migrainous Bliss

pain
twinges
in my head
sunlight ahead

elevating
on the horizon
cruel rays of light
broke into my the night

today I miss the stars
for I seek soothing darkness
let me, please, sink back into the black
but I writhe in agony, a matutinal insomniac

Sunday, no fun day

clouds
had mercy on me
but again, I am ripped from dreams
the headache grown into torment of extremes

all my body
swimming in nausea
this is no time to lie about
a revolution turning my inside out

abyss
I drown therein
squashed by the weight of an ocean
my skull tight and tense, ready to start an explosion

Sunday, doomsday

curtains
have been closed
by an angel that sees to my needs
while I am curled up in a ball on the sheets

my weary eyes spot a pill
a voice says in a whisper
that is for your head twister
your sorry pain, it will kill

soft and careful hands try to calm my affliction
a relief to my head’s constriction
how wonderful
that is

hours later the world looks less brute
the shrieking stitches now mute
aching limbs start
to relax

a warming body presses into mine
following my curved spine
gentle fingertips
caress

soft and sensual, the contact present
feels to me highly pleasant
hands go astray

kisses on my neck, taking off the tension
my head restored to its dimension
